Nebulised Liquid Salt
The nebulised medically approved Dead Sea Salt solution, which is enriched with magnesium and electrolytes, flows into the enclosed environment with your horse. The microparticles of salt allow for high levels of absorption deep into the lungs and skin simultaneously. This unique salt formulation provides an anti-inflammatory effect as well as being antifungal and antibacterial.
It loosens excessive mucous and keeps the lining of the respiratory system healthy therefore reducing symptoms of Equine Asthma/COPD, Heaves and Seasonal Allergies as well as aids in recovery of Travelling and Exercise.
It also normalises pH levels in the skin reducing IgE levels (immune system oversensitivity) and strengthens the immune system to aid in the recovery and prevention of Sweet Itch, Eczema, Hives, Mud Fever, Ring Worm, Seasonal Allergies and Wounds.

De-Ionised Oxygen
Along with the salt we also pump into the environment de-ionised oxygen. There has been a lot of research into the power of negative ions, these molecules are thought to be able to neutralise free radicals, revitalise cell metabolism , enhance immune function and balance the autonomic nervous system. It also removes and destroys airborne bacteria and pathogen agents (pollen) in the environment thus reducing histamine.

Mobile Service
We have an enclosed ‘salt stable’ at our centre, but we also offer a mobile service. The salt therapy unit that can be brought directly to your yard in our 3.5T lorry. Provided there is suitable parking and access to electricity. The unit accommodates two horses simultaneously, making it a time-efficient option for multiple horses or yard visits. Please note that mileage restrictions apply.

If your horse has never had salt therapy before then we recommend an initial course of 3 consecutive days. Each session lasts 45minutes. If they have already had the initial course then its usually just a single session on a rolling monthly basis.

Yes, we can bring the salt system to your yard in our 3.5T lorry. We can take up to two horses at the same time in the lorry which may be more economical for larger yards. We need an appropriate parking space and access to electricity. Please note there is a mileage limit though.

No, please keep them on all their normal medications. The salt therapy is a great ‘add on’ to help reduce and prevent symptoms. This hopefully means that medication can be reduced in the future but always discuss medication changes with your vet first.

Yes , as long as your horse is currently in work then they can have their normal daily routine. Sometimes we recommend giving your horse some work after they had the salt as it can help encourage them to cough out any mucous. The only thing we recommend you don’t do is bath them for 48hrs after their last session.
